JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Vice-president of the Commission for the eradication of corruption ( NCP) Nurul Ghufron said the replacement for the supervisory board post was left Artidjo Alkostar will be determined by President Joko Widodo.
As is known, KPK member Artidjo Alkostar died on Sunday (02/28/2021) around 2:00 p.m. WIB due to lung and heart disease.
Ghufron explained that the mechanism for replacing KPK members is regulated in government regulation number 4 of 2020 regarding the procedures for appointing the president and members of the KPK supervisory board.
He mentions, in article 12, paragraph (1) letter a, that the PP explains that the president and the adult members resign or are dismissed from their functions in the event of death.

Ghufron said the current chairman and Dewas members for the 2019-2023 period were first nominated and appointed by the chairman.
This is stipulated in Law number 19 of 2019 regarding the KPK. So, said Ghufron, Artidjo’s replacement would also be appointed by the president.
“From the above description, the change between the members of the KPK supervisory board is appointed and appointed by the chairman,” he said.

Ghufron said that in the same regulation, Article 15, paragraph 2, states that due to the vacancy of a member of Dewas, the president of Dewas must submit it to the president no later than 3 days.
