Former Presbyterian Blue Hose men's tennis player Max Benson won his professional tennis championship when he teamed with fellow Austrian Oren Vasser to win the ITF M25 Telfs doubles title in Telfs, Austria this weekend. This is Benson's first tournament title as a professional tennis player.

The doubles pair won four matches to claim the title. Benson also won two singles matches in the qualifying draw of the M25 Telfs singles tournament.

During his stellar career at Presbyterian, Benson helped the Blue Hose win two Big South Tournament titles and one Big South regular season title while leading PC to two NCAA Tournament appearances. No stranger to doubles success, Benson was selected to the First Team All-Big South Doubles three times, teaming with Dusan Milanovic to form a nationally ranked doubles tandem that earned a bid to the 2023 NCAA Doubles Tournament. Benson was the 2021 Big South Player of the Year and the 2019 Big South Freshman of the Year. He was also selected to the All-Big South Singles four times.
