Women's tennis selects Arbitman and you as captains for the second season in a row
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. For the second season in a row, Rachel Arbitman And Angel you will serve as captains for Harvard women's tennis, Traci Green announced today. Arbitman and You are the fifth duo in program history to serve as captains in back-to-back seasons.
The pair were an integral part of a historic team last season, contributing to the play on the field and leadership off it. Arbitman has been a consistent presence in the Crimson doubles lineups, appearing in 16 matches across the fall and dual seasons last season. In the fall, Arbitman advanced to the round of 32 of the doubles main draw at the ITA All-American Championships alongside Iveta Daujotaite. Off the field, Arbitman was named an ITA Scholar Athlete for the second season in a row.
You played in nine singles matches and twenty doubles matches last season. The Crimson captains' first victory came against Furman when they took the team victory with a resilient victory in sixth position. The Chantilly, Virginia native also received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second year in a row.
The pair will look to lead Harvard to another strong season after finishing 19-5 last year and helping the Crimson earn their first bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
