LSU Wr Kyren Lacy takes a life of its own during the police in Houston, officials say
Baton Rouge – Former LSU football player Kyren Lacy was found dead in his car in Houston after a police yacht on Saturday evening, days before he would appear for a large jury who would decide whether he would be charged in a deadly crash that said law enforcement.
New information obtained by WBRZ says that Lacy argued shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday with a family member. He reportedly pulled out a gun and shot it on the floor before he left the area.
About 30 minutes later, an agent saw riding on sides and tried to make a traffic stop. Delegates said Lacy refused to stop and was chased a few kilometers before he crashed.
A report from the Sheriff of Harris County's office says that when delegates walked to Lacy's vehicle to take him into custody, they did not know that he was shot himself during the chase and before the crash.
The WBRZ Investigative Unit reported that Lacy would appear before a large jury connected on Monday with a fatal crash in Lafourche parish. He was arrested by the State Police of Louisiana in December 2024. Troopers said he was driving too fast and drove over the middle line in a non-passing zone on LA. 20, which caused a wreck that 78-year-old Herman Hall killed. Lacy was arrested and booked for negligent murder, crime hit and run and reckless effect of a vehicle. He tied less than two hours after it was booked.

“We are sad to learn from the tragic death of the former LSU football student athlete Kyren Lacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones, as well as his former teammates and coaches affected by his death.”
Lacy's father, Kenny Lacy, placed on social media after the death of his son and called on parents to pay more attention to the mental health of their children.
