Male 2026-27 Domestic Fixture Revealed
A successful summer of domestic cricket is one step closer as Cricket Australia announces the 2026-2027 schedules for the men’s Sheffield Shield and Dean Jones Trophy competitions.
Victoria opens their Dean Jones Trophy campaign against Queensland at Allan Border Field on September 19, before hosting New South Wales under lights at Junction Oval on the AFL Grand Final evening bank holiday (September 25) – the debut of day-night cricket at the venue.
It is one of three daytime and evening home games at Junction Oval as Victoria also hosts South Australia (October 12) and Western Australia (November 16) in a win for Victorian cricket fans.
In the Sheffield Shield, Victoria launch their campaign in a final rematch against South Australia at Junction Oval on October 7.
Splitting home matches at the MCG and Junction Oval, Victoria will host Tasmania at the home of cricket on February 8 as part of a special day-night Sheffield Shield round as anticipation builds for the 150th Anniversary Test at the MCG.
Cricket Victoria’s General Manager of Cricket Performance, Graham Manou, said the schedule provides a strong platform to build on the progress of recent seasons.
“Our men’s team has worked hard all season and we are excited about the season ahead,” said Manou.
“We look forward to the home games early in the season and welcoming fans back to Junction Oval and the MCG to support Victoria.”
