Police: A North Charleston man robbed Cricket Wireless at knifepoint
It is now 6:46 am and it is time for news and we are following the latest news this morning. Eliah Phillips spends hours following a *** accident that disrupted traffic on I-D5. Leah, that’s right, Destiny. We’ve been watching this closely since 5:30 this morning, and this is over two hours later, the scene we’re looking at here isn’t even close to being cleared along I-85. This is in Anderson County, right on Clemson Boulevard, as you can see debris spread across all three lanes, completely blocking traffic. Now we have our photojournalist Jarek McDerris on air at the moment on Sky 4. Jarrett, can you talk a little bit about what you’re seeing in relation to that backup? Leo, what we’re seeing regarding the backup is that it’s getting worse on northbound 85. Troopers blocked high I-85 about a half mile earlier. Uh, the actual crash here on Eclipson Boulevard in ’85, near the rest area on the north side, which is mile marker 18. Most people are also backed all the way past exit 14, which is on Highway 187. So now you’re looking at people who have to turn. On Highway 24, exit 11, so if you’re heading north from, say, Georgia or the Fairpla exit in Oconee County, you might consider finding an alternate route or taking the exits there in Townville and then heading that way via Anderson or Clemson. And if you’re trying to get to I-85 here on Clemson Boulevard, y’all. From I-80, all I-85 northbound access points at Clemson Boulevard are blocked, so you’ll need to visit Highway 178. Live on Sky 4 over Anderson County, Jared McDarris, WYFF News 4. Information there Jarrett. Thank you again. That backup now extends from 19 through 11 there. So it really shows you what we’re working with in terms of that delay, that air again, look at the crash there, you can see here on my map, that’s a pretty good amount of backup. Back up, northbound I-85 lanes using GPS, using ways to get around is currently the way to go depending on where you’re coming from and where you’re going. However, if you look at the rest of our area, the travel times are in the green. We’ll continue to bring you the latest news as we closely monitor this crash, Erin. Leah, thank you. And more important news we’re following this morning in Greenville County. Officers respond to *** fire. It was reported this morning around 2:30 a.m. off Lakeside Road near I-8D5 and I-185. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is in its early stages, and we will continue to provide you with updates as we learn more. Right now, more than 450 cyclists are gearing up for the 18th annual Ride to End Alls. Yes, they run from Simpsonville to Mount Pleasant over a three day period. Our Naomi Popa is in Simpsonville, where the cyclists are starting to arrive. Naomi, you met some riders this morning. Erin Destiny, good morning, yes, it’s a beautiful day. Everyone comes out. Lucy writers, go ahead and start checking in, and I’ve met some amazing people here, including Kenny. Hi Kenny, good morning. Thank you for joining us. You’ve been a damn writer for several years now. Tell me how long and why you chose to start. This is my 12th year of riding. In 2010, my father died of Alzheimer’s after a long, long battle, and one thing you’ll learn about Alzheimer’s is that it affects entire families. It’s not just the patients, it’s the whole family. My father died in 2010. My pastor’s mother died shortly afterward, and my pastor said, Hey, let’s try this ride, Friday. I said, okay, we’ll do it. So we did it. I said let’s do Saturday. We did it. We made it. I said let’s do Sunday. We did it. And we were the last one so dead that they took down the balloon banners and threw away the air horns. They even tried to blow an air horn for us, but it didn’t even work because there was no air left. Last year we were dead. So every year we just tried to keep doing it, getting a little bit stronger every year, and I ride it every year. I’m getting a new name to put on my bib, and you can see how full it gets, and it’s for all the people I know who have had or are currently suffering from Alzheimer’s. So that’s the reason I ride. I like that. And this is a whole family effort for you. You see your family at every rest stop, right? They come out for you. What does that mean for you? It means the world. It’s, uh, that’s one, the one downtime that I always really look forward to is because my little grandkids are going to play me with a water gun, and I’m going to see my whole family, and it’s great. I love that, Kenny. Thank you very much for joining us this morning. We’ll have more coverage and more of Kenny’s story soon, live here in Simpsonville. I’m Naomi Popa, WIFF News 4. Well, it looks like a great start there and thankfully not too hot this morning. But that will change later this afternoon. Highs towards the mid 90s as we head towards Friday afternoon, 95 degrees. Looking forward to temperatures in the triple digits again. It’s definitely a repeat pattern for weather. However, that will change as we head into the weekend. We leave on Sunday. The cold front comes through and we will be in the low 80s on Monday. Short cooldown, but it will feel nice even if it is short. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop later this afternoon. Are. Isolated for the upstate, better chance of rain for Western North Carolina. Then the second round arrives late Friday evening and Saturday morning. Outdoor plans on Saturday. I would have a spare plane ready to go. Now it is not a washout, but there is certainly a greater chance of rain on Saturday afternoon and early evening. Then the *** backdoor cold front moves in on Sunday. That means it comes in from the northeast versus the northwest. It’s falling in. That brings us another round of scattered storms and damn wind chills by Monday. I’ll have more details in *** four days and in a few minutes, Erin.

One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
