Google Drive flags text files containing “1” as copyright infringement

Google Drive suffers from a fairly unusual bug of flagging a text file for piracy just because it contains a “1” or “0”.

As TorrentFreak reports, this behavior was first discovered by Dr. Emily Dolson, an assistant professor at Michigan State University. She posted an image in the output04.txt file stored in Google Drive showing Google Drive flagging it as violating its piracy policy. All included files are number one and were created for use in university algorithm classes.
