PM says face masks should be worn in stores after the mess – BBC News
After being accused of delivering confusing messages, the prime minister now says face coverings should be worn in stores in England to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The policy must be mandatory, despite the suggestion of one of Michael Gove’s former ministers, to be based on “common sense”. The work has accused ministers of contradicting themselves and confusing the public. Face covers are already mandatory in Scottish stores, but so far Wales and Northern Ireland have not accepted the policy.
