Monterey Bay FC and San Jose Earthquakes enter 2024 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup – KION546

SEAside, Calif./CHICAGO, IL (KION-TV) – Monterey Bay FC and the USL San Jose Earthquakes announced they will compete in this year's 2024 U.S. Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup competition.

The competition will feature 96 teams from the amateur and professional ranks and consists of 95 matches from March to September.

San Jose joins Division I while Monterey Bay joins Division II.

Crisp and Kelp reached the round of 32 of the competition in 2023, falling to Los Angeles on penalties in a thrilling match at Cardinale Stadium.

They did so after upsetting the San Jose Earthquakes in the third round.
