BEIJING, May 28 (APP): China and Central Asian countries will jointly explore the establishment of a scientific earthquake investigation mechanism, aiming to integrate and exchange earthquake information, disaster mitigation decisions and technological resources.

The mechanism will be based on studying the Tianshan seismic belt, which is a major seismic belt in Central Asia and one of the regions with strong seismic activity in China.

He explained that the intersection of Xinjiang, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan is a major plate interaction area, and the Tianshan seismic belt passes through it, which is a major seismic hazard area and a key area for the international community to study the boundary issues of continental geodynamics and internal earthquake disasters.
