No reports of Malaysians affected by Bandung quake, says Wisma Putra

PUTRAJAYA: No Malaysians have been reported to be involved or affected by the earthquake that struck Bandung, Indonesia on Wednesday (September 18), the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry, known as Wisma Putra, said it was closely monitoring the aftermath of the earthquake through the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta.

Malaysians in the affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and follow the advice and guidance provided by local authorities.

“We strongly urge those who have not yet registered and updated their whereabouts and details to do so immediately at https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my,” the statement read.

Wisma Putra added that Malaysians who require consular assistance may contact the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta at the following address: Jl.
