A member of the Hezbollah-backed militant group backed by the UN court has been found guilty of involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. Judges at the Lebanese Special Court in the Netherlands said Salim Ayyash had a major role to play in the bomb attack that killed Bari in 2005. Three other defendants like Ayyash were acquitted in absentia. Hezbollah did not deny any involvement, and the judges said there was no evidence from the leaders of the Shia militant group.
