Demonstrator Kamala Harris interrupted – BBC News

Senator Kamala Harris and one of the Democratic candidates for the 2020 U.S. presidential election have been interrupted by a protester who took the microphone while he was on stage. The senator was answering a question about equal pay when a man stepped on stage at a California event. Some friends, including the senator’s husband, managed to help the man – an animal rights activist – get off the stage. After being removed from office, Ms. Harris returned to the discussion.
