In today’s lesson, Jason discusses what earthquakes are and what steps to take to stay safe. Watch below:

Earthquakes are shaking the Earth’s surface. It can occur for several reasons, including tectonic plate movement and volcanic eruptions.

Earthquakes can occur anywhere, anytime. However, some regions are more vulnerable to earthquakes because of their location. Earthquake damage can vary from small to disastrous.

There are many things that you should do if you find yourself in an earthquake. First, if you are indoors, you should immediately go under the table and try to protect your head from injury. If this is not possible, then the next best place is in the middle of the entrance. If you are outside, try to stay away from any buildings to avoid debris from hitting and injuring you. Finally, never touch the broken power line!
