It was one recent history who mentioned the threat of sea level rise in the city of Newport, RI. How do you spend money to fix something hard to see when other issues are always more pressing?

It reminded me of when we found out our house wasn't attached to its foundation enough and that a good earthquake in California could do some real damage.
