52 years old, 9 more Covid-19 died in Spore. 3,190 new infectious diseases, Singapore news and top stories
Singapore-The Ministry of Health (MOH) said Wednesday (October 13) that nine Singaporeans between the ages of 52 and 98 died of Covid-19-related complications.
This brings Singapore’s virus deaths to 192 and reported deaths for the 24th consecutive day.
Of the six men and three women, six were unvaccinated, two were partially vaccinated, and one was vaccinated.
Eight of them had a variety of underlying conditions, but unvaccinated patients did not have a known medical condition.
The 52-year-old patient was partially vaccinated against Covid-19 and had multiple underlying medical conditions, MOH said in a daily update without giving details.
Of those who died from these complications in the last 28 days, 24.1% were fully vaccinated and the rest were either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
This brings the death toll in October to 97.
MOH reported a total of 3,190 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday. This includes 2,686 community cases, 498 dormitory residents, and 6 imported cases.
Among the local cases were 553 elderly people over the age of 60.
In the case on Wednesday, the total number of infections in Singapore will be 135,395.
Currently, 1,507 cases are hospitalized.
Of these, 300 need oxygen supplementation and 46 are in the intensive care unit.
There are 17,080 cases recovering from home, 2,885 cases at community care facilities, and 473 cases at Covid-19 treatment facilities.
Two new cases have been added to the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Center, bringing the cluster size to 369.
The MOH said the infection was between workers and trade visitors, with market workers accounting for 340 cases.
Four are trade visitors and 25 are household members of the case.
Mercilling’s MWS Cristalite Methodist Home also encountered two new cases, with a cluster size of 95.
Of these, 11 were staff and 84 were residents. According to MOH, new cases have already been isolated.
To date, 487,673 people have received Covid-19 booster shots and an additional 117,000 have made reservations.
