Orange County reports 133 new cases with no new deaths as of May 25 – Orange County Registration
On this anniversary, Orange County reported no new deaths from COVID-19, leaving a total of 131 deaths.
However, 133 new cases were reported.
The county reported that 5,469 people had been virus-positive since the test began in March. The cities with two new cases were Santa Ana at 36 and Anaheim at 25.
Of the 5,469 confirmed cases, 574 were residents of skilled nursing homes and 365 were inmates in Orange County Jail.
Twenty-four of the 25 reported hospitals had 198 admitted to Orange County and 69 in the intensive care unit.
According to Monday’s report, the 834 tests conducted on the last day reached 102,513 cumulative tests in the county’s 3.2 million people. The test rate increased to 320 tests per 10,000 inhabitants of Orange County.
The number of cases in Orange County is 17 cases per 10,000 inhabitants. From 16 per 10,000 residents on Sunday.
The breakdown of deaths by county age is as follows:
- 85 years and over: 27% (36)
- 75-84: 29% (38)
- 65-74 years: 18% (24)
- 55-64 years: 12% (16)
- 45-54 years: 8% (11)
- 35-44 years: 3% (4)
- 25-34 years: 2% (2)
- 18-24 years old: 0%
- 0-17: 0%
About 75% of deaths are in people over the age of 65.
