Todd County Health Department reported two new confirmed positive cases of coronavirus in the county at midnight Friday.
According to Public Health Director Jen Harris, the new case is two healthy adults who tested positive on Friday, unrelated to each other or any other case. Both adults are recovering at home with mild to moderate symptoms. She is in the process of informing all her contacts of one of the new cases, but in the other case she has multiple contacts who were notified of a 14-day quarantine.
The new case brings the total number of active COVID-19 cases to 7, two of which are currently hospitalized by Harris.
Harris says the county has been calming down on COVID activities for over a week, and this is a good precaution to keep from good hygiene exercises, especially when you are in the public or at work.
Of the 24 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Todd County since the outbreak began in mid-March, 17 recovered from the virus.
