New cases of monkeypox are trending downward in the Houston area as vulnerable populations continue to be vaccinated.

According to Dr. Erica Brown of the Harris County Public Health Department, as of Sept. 13, the average number of infected people per day over the 14-day period has dropped by more than 50% in two weeks.
