$13.38 million funding for Sarna Nipah Virus vaccine candidate development – Vax-Before-Travel
The NIPAH virus is one of the most deadly pathogens known to infect humans, but lacks a preventive vaccine. To accelerate the development of NIPAH vaccine candidates, the Coalition of Preparation Innovations for the Epidemic (CEPI) will fund up to $13.38 million for its pioneering self-amplifying mRNA (SARNA) vaccine candidates.
Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Limited is developing this innovative solution and working with the Houston Methodist Institute, a Texas-based agency.
They use cutting-edge AI technology to optimize the properties of virus-derived proteins that stimulate the immune system and serve as the optimal vaccine target for Gennova to investigate.
