ADPH Announces COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Plan

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) COVID-19 vaccine distribution and dosing plan is open to the public. The goal of this plan is to vaccinate all persons who are eligible to receive the safe, effective and approved COVID-19 vaccine.
The plan describes the allocation of vaccines to Alabama people, perhaps by the end of 2020, once the vaccines are available. The first draft plan, developed in collaboration with other state and local agencies, was submitted to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). October 16th.
Some vaccine products are currently in clinical trials and will be released after their safety has been reviewed and approved by a panel of health professionals. Vaccinations are provided free of charge.
