90 people arrested for crackdown on COVID-19 “Superspreader” event in California

A special task force of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 90 people during a raid on New Year’s Eve’s COVID-19 “Superspreader” party. KTLA..

According to the report, the Task Force has closed five events in vacant warehouses, rental housing, closed businesses and hotels where many people gathered.

The 90 arrested were quoted for violating the Los Angeles County Curfew. More than 900 others were advised about the order and were warned on New Year’s Eve.

“We have investigated all” superpredeer “cases that occur anywhere in Los Angeles County and have made it clear that law enforcement measures will be taken,” the report said. “The goal of these enforcement measures is to reduce the risk of the COVID-19 epidemic and vulnerable people.”
