LA County reports 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 variants in the United Kingdom – CBS Los Angeles
Los Angeles (CBSLA) — Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said Wednesday that there were 18 confirmed cases in the county of the first COVID-19 mutant detected in the United Kingdom.
According to Feller, county health officials and USC officials are investigating four cases at the university, two of which have been identified as British variants and two others. Is suspected to be a variant of it.
“Individuals are doing well and are isolated,” said Barbara Ferrer, director of the county’s public health department. “Close contacts have been identified, notified and quarantined.”
