The UK prioritizes the next stage of the COVID-19 vaccine by age, not work
London (Reuters)-Police and teachers advise the government that they will not jump to the top of the line in the second phase of the UK’s COVID-19 vaccination deployment, but instead will be prioritized by age. Explained this as the best way on Friday to maintain the pace of vaccination.

The priority list for that stage is largely determined by age and is set to provide the vaccine to all people over the age of 50, but also health care workers and clinically vulnerable people.
Lim, who released the Phase 2 priority list, said that everyone aged 40-49 would then line up for shots, then 30-39 years old, then 18-29 years old. I did.
JCVI said an age-based approach is the most effective way to reduce COVID-19 deaths and hospitalizations, even for people under the age of 50. He said providing shots by work is logistically complex and can lead to delays.
The government said it would follow the recommended approach, but not everyone welcomed the advice.
