SAN FRANCISCO, April 20, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – HOPE Haitian has announced that acclaimed Haitian-American chef Gregory Gordet (from Top Chef on Bravo TV) will headline the organization’s virtual cooking celebration on Monday 4/25. The event is part of the organization’s fourth annual Hike for Haiti Challenge, a worldwide joy movement that helps fund Hope’s education and public health programs in Haiti, and is supported by a number of prominent brands and ambassadors. Hosted by culinary director and comedian Billy Harris, the party will also feature mixologist Vance Henderson, a special surprise guest, and a small live auction.

“We cook up one of my favorite dishes growing up, chicken with Creole sauce and a delicious and easy, coconut-based sorbet with spiced pineapple,” Gordette said. “We will have a great time cooking together in support of the Hike for Haiti initiative!”

All funds raised during the Dinner + Auction will directly benefit Hope’s Haiti School rebuilding efforts in southern Haiti, the epicenter of last year’s devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake. In February, Hope for Haiti completed construction of one of the first schools to be built in southern Haiti after the earthquake.
