Women celebrate two major milestones: 100 years old, hitting COVID-19
In addition to overcoming the new coronavirus, she is also a cancer survivor.
“She is certainly an incredible woman,” said granddaughter Celeste Angeles.
Violet lived in Northern Minneapolis.
Her first husband, a World War II hero, returned home and lost his life in a strange accident, leaving Violet to raise two young children.
Later she married a policeman who is now living long.
“Everything she has done has overcome it. She survived,” said Angeles.
After the death of his two husbands and one son, Violet killed the cancer.
“We are celebrating all the victories of her life,” said Angeles.
On May 6, that meant celebrating her 100th birthday.

But a few weeks later, a virus that isolated her family from a nursing home and celebrated the infected violet and hospitalized her.
“I felt I could beat it, so I was praying for God to give it to me instead of her. I didn’t know if she could beat it,” Angeles said. ..
Within a month she did-show again her strength and determined.
“It’s not the end of her heritage,” said Angeles.

Violet is now back in her nursing home. We are waiting for the day when the family can see the fighting spirit up close.
“If we could see her and wrap her arms around her, it would feel best in the world. Hopefully it will happen faster than it will be slow,” Angeles says. Said.
Violet has been forced to move four times in the last five months because of concerns about COVID-19.
Her family says it made her a bit confused, but I think she feels better when she returns to her old room.
