In Fridge Wars, two chefs battle it out to see who can cook the best meals using only the ingredients host Emma Hunter has looted from the refrigerators of unsuspecting families. Chefs only have 45 minutes to prepare dinner while cooking with ingredients they’ve never seen and for people they’ve never met. (8 p.m., the CW).

MONDAY

I can destroy you quickly became one of the best new shows of the summer. In tonight’s episode, Arabellas’ swollen social media presence finds her more glued than ever to her phone, perpetually internalizing the stress of her followers. (9 p.m., HBO).

THURSDAY

For the new movie AAmericanPickle, Seth Rogen plays two roles in a wildly offbeat tale about a struggling factory worker who, in 1920, falls into a vat of pickles and is brined for 100 years. He emerges in present-day Brooklyn, where he meets his great-grandson, a gentle-mannered computer coder he can’t even begin to understand. (HBO Max).

FRIDAY

Howard is a revealing documentary about Howard Ashman, the latest lyricist behind Disney classics like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. With archival footage, home movies, and photographs as well as interviews with Ashmans friends and family, the film examines her creative impetus and the process behind the music. (Disney +).

SATURDAY

Clint Eastwood directed the 2019 drama RichardJewell. The film portrays the true story of security guard Richard Jewell (Paul Walter Hauser), who found a bomb during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and was hailed as a hero to later be unfairly labeled a suspect. by the FBI.
