Dogs who died at NCSU Veterinary School were positive for coronavirus :: WRAL.com
Raleigh, North Carolina — State officials reported the first confirmed case of coronavirus in a dog that died last week at North Carolina State University Veterinary Hospital on Tuesday.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus has been identified in both hospital laboratories and National Veterinary Services Laboratories. The cause of death of the dog is still unknown.
Officials said the dog was taken to North Carolina on August 3 after showing signs of dyspnea. The owner told a veterinary hospital staff that the family had previously tested for coronavirus positivity.
