Terminal cancer man accuses government after coronavirus cancels “life-saving” operation

Scaffolding personnel are said to have his cancer at the end of his life after the potentially life-saving surgery for Covid-19 was discontinued.

Adrian Rogers, 46, is an innocent victim of a huge NHS backlog caused by Coronavirus Pandemic.

Brave Adrian, who has three stepchildren, was diagnosed with intestinal cancer that had spread to the liver in 2018.

He underwent 18 months of rigorous chemotherapy in preparation for surgery to remove the tumor.

However, the surgery was canceled in April and doctors said it was “too dangerous” to have surgery due to Covid.

The number of intestinal and liver tumors in Adrian has more than tripled from 6 to 20.

Currently, he and his wife, Amanda (48), are said to have his condition in terminal stage and that he is inoperable.

“Maybe more could be done to make sure I had my surgery when it was an option. During this time, not only Covid, but others who need treatment Illness remains.

He told his doctor that he was ready to move forward, but in the end a decision was made for him.

“After that, it was like a roller coaster.” When I got the scan back and knew the tumor was widespread and end-stage, I was absolutely blown.

“I didn’t think it escalated so seriously. It was like I was being sentenced to death again, as it was when I was first diagnosed.

“I have a lot of praise for the NHS. I don’t blame them for this. The government is too focused on Covid and not on other illnesses.”

According to Adrian’s diagnosis, their world “crashed”, said Amanda, a former school kitchen director who was the mother of Edrian’s stepdaughter Laura (25) and twins Edward and Alexander (21).

Family members are now hoping for a drug called Avastin that is given in parallel with chemotherapy and designed to prevent tumor recurrence.

The 2-week course costs £600 but is not available in the NHS in the area where Adrian lives.

So the family started raising money online and raised around £12,000 a day. And Adrian will receive his first dose in Sheffield next week.
