The couple was infected with COVID-19 in November.They are still sick
(NEXSTAR) – Every morning, Paul Dougherty walks about 0.5 miles downhill from the front door to the property gate. It is the backup of the voyage that causes the problem.
Prior to being infected with COVID-19 in November, 68-year-old Dougherty was able to reach the top of the hill without any problems. But by the end of January, a few months after the initial diagnosis, Doherty says he must stop halfway to hold his breath.
Dougherty and his wife, Kate, 68, were both infected with COVID-19 in the last week of November. Residents of Fiddletown, California aren’t sure where to get it. The population of their town is only 324.
Paul believes he may have been infected with the virus on a trip to a grocery store or gas station in the larger neighboring city of Plymouth. He is always careful to wear a mask and brings hand sanitizer with each trip.
When the symptoms began to appear, Dohertys soon learned that it was COVID.
“When I woke up in the morning, I suddenly started vomiting, and I vomited all day,” Paul said.
The next few days were better before the virus hit Paul “like a ton of bricks”.
“We slept all day and all night,” Kate recalled. “I just slept, slept, slept.”
Paul has never felt the need to go to the hospital, but said he “has a lot of coughing and breathing problems.” Paul lost £ 8 and Kate lost £ 5, and both had a hard time eating.
Doughertys have come to be called “COVID long horrors”, or people who continue to suffer from COVID symptoms after a negative virus test.
Eventually, the main symptoms of Dohertys disappeared. However, even two months after the first infection with the virus, you may still feel sick.

Kate describes the endless illness as a “small COVID spell,” a moment when you need to hold your breath or sit down.
“I feel dizzy and crazy as if I had to sit down now,” Kate said. “It actually happened to me this morning.”
They say that the frequency and intensity of spells diminishes over time, but they still occur regularly.
Kate says the most frustrating aspect of the experience is that she doesn’t have the energy she once had.
“I can’t get up and go, which I had before,” she said. “But I hope it comes back.”
Dohertys was hit hard by COVID-19. Kate’s mother died in May of a complication of COVID. Two weeks ago she lost her best friend. Her son is an emergency doctor and every day she fears his health.
But they have to, so they keep trampling. Doughertys live on ranches and animals need to be taken care of, whether they are COVID spells or not.

“With the animals, we had to get up every morning and evening to get the animals out and put them in bed. For some reason, we dragged them and pulled them out. I did, “she said.
