Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan also known as Ogogo got into a fight while in his home town of Ilaro, Ogun State.

Due to viral videos on social media involving him and the strangers, the actor, via his Instagram page, explained what happened.

The veteran film actor who was once a boxer said he traveled to his hometown of Ilaro to inspect a project when strangers approached him and demanded money.

He said that although he gave them all the money he had, one of the guys dragged him by his native ‘agbada’ attire while insisting that he would not leave until wouldn’t have installed them.

This decision infuriated the boxer-turned-movie-star, and he got into a fight with them. However, to clarify the incident that happened, the actor wrote, “Before the bloggers pick this up, let me tell my side of the story and the truth. I was in Ilaro, my hometown, for a project inspection, after which strangers approached me for the normal appraisals.

“We are watching your film. Give us money. We watched you throughout our childhood. All of this as an actor, we hear every day. I offered everything I had on me and one of them dragged me by my agbada and demanded a sum that I couldn’t pay.

I asked him to leave me and he said do your worst the rest is history. Please stop harassing actors or artists, do you pay someone to do your job, no, it’s our job too. Accept everything we offer when we do. Remember, a boxer always a boxer.

Ogogo started his acting career in 1981, soon after he started working as a mechanic. In 1994, he quit his job at the water company to focus on acting.
