Young The Giant completes US Bollywood album series with ‘ACT IV: Denouement’

Critically acclaimed multi-platinum band Young the Giant have released ACT IV: Denouement, the final act of a four-part album titled American Bollywood.

American Bollywood is the first album in four years since Mirror Master and the first since leaving the major label system. Since then, three of the band members have become fathers, and of course there has been a global pandemic. With lyrics primarily written by band singer Sameer Gadhia, the son of Indian immigrants, the album chronicles the multi-generational saga of the American immigrant, as well as the origins, exiles, battles and outcome of reclaiming their collective identity.

It’s not just the story of an Indian-American caught between two worlds, as the Sameer Gadhia groups have said before, it’s also our universal quest to find meaning in chaos.

In Indian mythology, the Mahabharata, the protagonists, the Pandavas, have defeated their cousins ​​and regain their rightful place on the throne. In many other mythologies, this would be the logical end point: bliss forever. But the story continues in what is probably the most poignant act.
