Coucou French Bistro Opens in West Hollywood

Cuckoo French bistro, opened in West Hollywood on Wednesday, March 27, at 9045 Santa Monica Blvd, in the former home of Pizza Crustica. The new WeHo restaurant, located on the doorstep of Beverly Hills, follows Coucou Venice.

Coucou WeHo is an 80-seat indoor-outdoor establishment nestled on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Nemo Street. The restaurant offers a welcome respite from the outside world where guests can expect perfectly prepared martinis with freshly shucked oysters in a stunning marble-topped bar and wood-fired French dishes on a sunny, jasmine-lined terrace star.

“We offer a French-inspired California bistro, classic French drinks and cocktails with classic French culinary dishes that are served in a California ambiance,” said Derek, director of Coucou. “We have our location in Venice, so this is our second location.”

According to Derek, owners Jesse and Hayley Feldman are fans of the city of West Hollywood. They are friends with the owners of the Great White restaurant on Melrose Ave. “They think our brand fits this region very well,” he said. “We’re right next to Beverly Hills. This is also part of our brand in Venice, as we are right on the border of Venice and Santa Monica. They really like this place. We don't have an outdoor patio in Venice, so it feels a little more secluded and a little more like a neighborhood restaurant, which is also our vibe in Venice. So yeah, it's a perfect mix of everything.

Eater Los Angeles reports that the owners open the first Cuckoo in Venice in 2023 and always thought West Hollywood would be an ideal second location. The Feldmans reinvented the prime location to accommodate 45 people in the main room and another 30 on the patio.

Coucou West Hollywood's current hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
