It's a round-up: CIAA 2020 basketball tournament
This year's CIAA basketball tournament concluded on Saturday with two entertaining and competitive championship games for the men's and women's teams.
After falling to Virginia Union University in the last game in last season, the Fayetteville State University women's team returned with revenge and survived Bowie State University 61-53. This was the first Broncos champion title since 2010. As champion, FSU won the NCAA Division II conference automatic qualification bid.
Robert Colon of Winston-Salem State University suffered a three-point pointer foul in the closing moments of the men's title match. He made all three shots to creak through Fayetteville State 63-62. With the victory, WSSU won its 12th championship in 75 years of CIAA history. The Rams also won a ticket to the NCAA Division II tournament.

Miss Claflin University, Faith McKie, was crowned Miss CIAA 2020 during the Fan Fest activities on Saturday. This is the second year in a row that Miss Claflin has won the title.
The major in sports management from Columbia, South Carolina, beat 11 candidates to walk away with the crown and a $ 2,500 grant from Food Lion.
