Jokowi and SBY absent from Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's big campaign
Bisnis.comJAKARTA – Head of the winning team Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) Ahmad Riza Patria confirmed that the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was unable to attend the Satu1n Jakarta Grand Campaign at Banteng Square, Saturday (11/23/2024).
He said the absence of the two former Indonesian heads of state was due to their respective affairs. Starting with SBY who is suffering from illness and Jokowi who is participating in the campaign agenda in Central Java.
“Mr. SBY was abroad today for treatment. Let's hope that Pak SBY can recover quickly and return to his homeland. “Greetings also from Mr. Jokowi, who today is also campaign in Central Java,” he told reporters.
Furthermore, Riza said that although both were absent from the last major campaign before entering the calm period, they both provided support from afar to the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono couple.
“Mr. SBY apologized and warmly greeted the candidate couples and all the people of Jakarta. Pak Jokowi is in the same situation. We thank Mr. Jokowi for doing this approve and attended several activities of Bang Ridwan Kamil and Mas Suswono in DKI Jakarta,” he said.
He also said that the number 1 gubernatorial and deputy governor candidate for the 2024 Jakarta legislative elections received the direct support of President Prabowo Subianto.
Riza said that although Prabowo is currently in Abu Dhabi for a state visit, the number one person in Indonesia conveyed his greetings to all Jakarta residents so that they can provide support to Ridwan Kamil and Suswono.
“Mr. Prabowo Subianto, as chairman of the Gerindra Party, in addition to nominating Ridwan Kamil, also supported Ridwan Kamil and also provided support for Bang Ridwan's victory,” Riza concluded.
Previously, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Winning Team (RIDO) Secretary Basri Baco said that SBY and Jokowi would be present at Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's grand campaign today.
