Jokowi optimistic about Lithfi-Yasin victory in Central Java regional elections
Semarang (ANTARA) – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, is optimistic about the victory of the candidate couple for governor and deputy governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maimoen, in the regional elections of 2024.
“The name of trying is to be optimistic, the name of working is to be optimistic,” Joko Widodo said after attending the Luthfi-Yasin couple's latest campaign in Semarang on Saturday.
Whatever votes are obtained in the next election, he said, we will see what the will of the people will be. “We will see later. Wait for the figures on Wednesday afternoon,” he added.
Joko Widodo was present at Luthfi-Yasin's final campaign which concluded with “Joint prayer for Central Java to bring victory to Luthfi-Yasin.”
According to him, this latest campaign is a form of effort led by the Luthfi-Yasin couple and their entire winning team.
“Strive, try and end with prayer. Because whatever it is, it is God's will,” he said.
Former President Joko Widodo was present at the Luthfi-Yasin couple's last campaign at Simpang Lima Square in Semarang.
In addition to Joko Widodo, the campaign for candidate number 2 was also attended by the general chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan.
