Cleveland State Women's Golf wraps up the Horizon League track and field championship
Howey in the Hills, FL-The Cleveland State women's golf team wrapped up play Monday morning at the Horizon League Women's Golf Championship. The Vikings finished in seventh place in the team standings. Cleveland State posted the lowest score of the week in the final round with a 32-over par 324.
Kaitlin Kormuth hit three birdies in her final 18 holes to earn the highest individual finish for the Vikings. She finished her first Horizon League Championship appearance with 27 over par and a draw of 16e. She posted a final round of 5-over-par 78, her lowest score of the week by six shots.
Brynna Mardis also recorded a top-20 finish when she came in at 29-over, good for a draw for 20e place. Mardis posted a final round 80 on day three.
Olivia Swain capped her college career with an individual finish in T-23. Swain carded an 83 in her final collegiate round.
Mandie Ruminski finished 28the at 35 over par for the tournament and Lola Barnett closed with a score of 36 over par to finish tied for 29e.
Cleveland State concludes its season and the Vikings will return to action next fall for the 2024-2025 season. Six of the seven student-athletes on the current roster will return next season.
