Turner Announces 2024-25 Non-Conference Schedule

HAMDEN, Connecticut. The Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey program has announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season, as announced by head coach Cassandra Turner and the Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon.

The non-conference schedule consists of 13 games, four of which are at home in Hamden, while the Bobcats play nine games on the road.

Before the regular season begins, QU will make a quick trip to Storrs, Connecticut, to take on UConn in an exhibition game on September 21.

The Bobcats open the season on Sept. 27-28 when they visit Maine. QU is 7-0-1 in the last eight meetings between the two teams. Quinnipiac remains in town, traveling to Boston, Mass. to take on Northeastern on Oct. 4-5. They are 5-9-2 against the Huskies since 2001.

The Bobcats host Providence on Oct. 8 for their home opener, before traveling to Providence on Dec. 15 to complete the home-and-away series. QU has won three of the last four games between the two teams since 2022.

Turner’s team hosts Syracuse for a two-game series on Oct. 18-19, the first meeting between the two teams since the Bobcats went 4-0 in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. QU then travels to LIU for a single game on Nov. 12. Quinnipiac is 6-0 against LIU since 2021 and has outscored them 32-1.

The Nutmeg Classic will be hosted by Sacred Heart at Martire Family Arena in Fairfield, Conn. on Nov. 29-30. The Bobcats will play their first game against Sacred Heart on Nov. 29 and their second game against either Yale or UConn.

The Bobcats play Sacred Heart one more time to close out their non-conference schedule on Dec. 3 at home. QU has a 16-0 record against Sacred Heart since 2002, allowing just seven goals in those games.

Cassandra Turner is back at the helm of the Bobcats and is entering her 10th season^e season with a record of 190-99-27. The Bobcats return as Third Team All-ECAC honorees Kendall Cooper and ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team selection Kahlen Lamarche. QU will also have 14 newcomers in the selection this year.
