Desmond Watson from Florida Football sets a new bankruptcy record on Pro Day
For years, Gaters Defensive Lineman Desmond Watson won the newspaper heads for his large frame of 460 pounds. Thursday, during Pro day, Watson made a statement for NFL Scouts.
Florida Football held his Pro day on Thursday morning and within the first hour a Gator made his mark in a big way.
Of course it was Desmond Watson. The defensive tackle weighed at 464 pounds to start Pro day 15 pounds more than his listed weight for the 2024 season.
The next was the vertical jump. Was Watsons 25 the lowest of the Gators who participated? Yes. But still, not bad for someone who weighs almost a quarter of a ton.
Then the main event for Watson came the bench press. There really it excelled. He pressed a 36. Not only was that by far the best figure of a football player in Florida, but it would also have been the highest figure at the NFL Combine with three repetitions.

Napier said that Watson went in good condition on Thursday and noted that it was a continuation of the past season when he was in the best form of his career and played his best ball.
