IMG Academy (FL) WR Eric McFarland was expected to be in Columbus this weekend, but that won’t happen anymore. McFarland will not take an official to Columbus after visiting Texas A&M.

With the Buckeyes not bringing in McFarland for his scheduled official visit, they are seemingly out of the mix at this point. Ohio State was an early offer for McFarland, who was reclassified to the class of 2027 after originally being a 2028 player.

Along with Texas A&M, Georgia and Florida are other schools in the mix for the 6-foot-4 wideout from Bradenton, Florida. According to 247 Sports Composite, McFarland is the No. 25 overall player and the No. 5 wide receiver in the class of 2027. A big threat to make a big play anytime he gets the ball in his hands.
