NASHVILLE – Page High School’s Emma Baker highlighted a small Williamson County contingent in the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State Tennis teams released last week.
Baker, a recent college graduate who was also named WILLCO Player of the Year in tennis, won the county’s only individual state championship in May while leading the Patriots. Baker, who won all three state-level matches in straight sets, reached the state semifinals the season before.
Also recognized locally was the doubles team of JJ Bowman and CeCe McClellan of Battle Ground Academy. The pair finished second in Division II-A.
On the boys side, DII-AA semifinalist Brady Dixon of Christ Presbyterian Academy was recognized on the singles team.
