USGS reports an earthquake in the Chino Valley

The US Geological Survey said the 3.8-magnitude quake occurred shortly before 2 p.m.

Yavapai County, Arizona – An earthquake struck central Arizona Sunday afternoon in Yavapai County, according to the US Geological Survey.

The 3.8-magnitude earthquake was located just over a mile southeast of the Chino Valley. The USGS said the missile struck shortly before 2 p.m.

The epicenter was near Center Street and Railway Street.

It is not known if the earthquake caused any damage.

In May, the USGS reported an earthquake in northern Arizona. The magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck Coconino County near Cameron Township.
