H.W. Kaufman's Atain Insurance Companies announced a partnership with Vikco Insurance Services, creating a comprehensive Team In Case (DIC) earthquake program, which will cover seven states in the western United States.

“Atain’s partnership with Vikco signals an exciting new strategy where we can leverage Atain’s significant capital position to support experience-based programs that suit our appetite,” said Chris Zoidis, President and CEO of Atain Insurance Companies. “Given Vikco’s real estate experience in Dubai Internet City, coupled with its thoughtful underwriting approach, we are confident of this successful effort together.”

Atin said this was the first time in the company's history that it had partnered with a business entity outside the HW Kaufman Group. Usually provides services to sister companies. Zoidis said Atain expects this new venture to be the first of many as it looks to diversify the company's portfolio beyond Kaufman Companies.

Meanwhile, Vikco CEO Brian Cindric (pictured right) expressed his excitement at the new partnership, saying it could further enhance the company's capacity.

Atain, according to its website, is an admitted and non-admitted property and casualty insurance company dedicated to serving the specialty programs and excess and surplus (E&S) markets.

Originally founded in 1843 as the Frankford Mutual Insurance Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company has more than 140 years of insurance experience, firmly rooted in the specialty insurance industry. Atain is licensed in 50 states, and the company insures several lines of business including professional liability, general liability and commercial multi-risk.
