Hundreds of homes delivered to families affected by the earthquake in Herat – Bakhtar News Agency

Herat (BNA): The construction of 288 homes for those affected by the earthquake in Herat was completed, and these homes were delivered to the affected families in the province.

According to Bakhtar News Agency, Shahabuddin Delawar, acting director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, explained during the handover ceremony that the houses were built with a budget of 102 million Afghanis with funding from the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. The associations (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies), are dedicated to families in the Golran and Zinda Jan districts of Herat whose homes were destroyed by the recent earthquake.

He stressed that providing sincere assistance to those in need, including orphans and vulnerable families, is a fundamental responsibility of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, which carries out its humanitarian work with complete transparency.

On this occasion, Sheikh Hadith Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, Governor of Herat, praised the Afghan Red Crescent Society for its efforts in rebuilding housing for earthquake victims and its humanitarian contributions.

The houses were officially handed over to the families in the presence of local officials and representatives of relevant agencies.
