Hundreds of thousands of British holidaymakers are trying to return home to the UK, with the government imposing forty measures in France and five other countries. Passengers will have to isolate their car within 14 days of arriving in the UK. The French prime minister has acknowledged that the number of coronavirus cases in his country has gone “the wrong way”. The current infection rate in France is 34 cases per 100,000 people.
