Checking the Truth of the Vice President: Daniel Dale chooses the night lie
Vice President Mike Pence echoed President Donald Trump’s common falsehoods and some misleading statements in a solitary, but more moderate and tidy discussion with Vice President Kamala Harris (D-CA). The Salt Lake City debate was less chaotic compared to the first meeting between Trump and Vice President Joe Biden in September. But the remnants of that event are given by Pence giving some of the same lines that the president often repeats. Harris also made some claims that were misleading or out of context, but were compared to the litany of Pence’s statements, which were false or required additional context. Coronavirus and the Trump administration’s response prevailed early in the discussion and made reference, and the threat of the virus – due to the plexiglass fences that separate each table – was evident before each candidate said a word. Rivals also discussed the economic recovery, the future of American health care, and the importance of tackling the climate crisis. #USElections #Debate #CNN.
