New fast train from Jerusalem – BBC News

It has been a long time coming, but Israeli travelers are able to access two high-speed high-speed trains on a new link between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
Construction has been subject to engineering and planning challenges, and the last section of the line is not yet open. The route has also angered some Palestinians, as part of the track runs through tunnels beneath the occupied West Bank.

Transport Minister Yisrael Katz hopes that travelers will eventually travel from secular liberal Tel Aviv to the “Donald Trump Station” near the western wall, one of the most holy sites of Judaism.
