Education Minister Kirsty Williams has said it is impossible to guarantee equality for examinations due to the ongoing impact of the Covid pandemic. Head teachers would practice a “national approach” to ensure consistency, he said. Assessments will be conducted under teacher supervision and will begin in the second half of the spring term. They will be set and marked from the outside but will be given in the classroom.
