Queensland police do not say there is evidence to show a criminal offense
Brisbane detectives investigating allegations against Liberal MP Andrew Laming, who has been accused of taking pictures of a woman as she bent down, have ruled that there is no evidence to show a criminal offense.
Queensland police this week investigated allegations by Brisbane woman Crystal White, who claimed Laming took pictures of herself posing with visible lingerie while filling a refrigerator in 2019.
Ms White attended Monday’s Cleveland police station, saying she had documented the incident.
Police on Wednesday confirmed they were investigating a formal complaint about the incident.
A Queensland Police spokesman Thursday morning said South Brisbane detectives interviewed people in the bay area about the 2019 incident and decided there was no evidence to show a felony.
Police have advised the complainant on the outcome of the investigation, he said.

Mr Laming, who will leave politics in the next election, is on medical leave seeking training and sensitivity counseling, but remains a member of the Liberal Party federal chamber, despite calls for Scott Morrison to oust him.
