BC reports 992 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths in the last two days
British Columbia health authorities have reported 992 new cases of COVID-19 across the state over the past two days, 138 of which are related to the Island Health area.
Health officials reported 519 new cases on Thursday, November 11, and 473 new cases on Friday, November 12.
Within the Island Health area, there are currently a total of 614 active COVID-19 cases.
In a statement released to the media, Dr. Bonnie Henry states that 384 people have been hospitalized as a result of the virus and 124 are receiving critical care. British Columbia currently has 4,265 active cases.
Since Thursday, 117 new COVID-19s have occurred in the Vancouver Coastal Health area, 308 in the Fraser Health area, 138 in the Island Health area, 263 in the Interior Health area, and 166 in the Northern Health area. .. A new case for people living outside Canada.
